It’s a NEW year and there is no better time then now to find creative and fun ways to motivate you to keep striving towards your short and long-term goals.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t only like to DREAM BIG, I deeply desire and find great accomplishment in conquering my goals while also setting new and challenging ones for the journey ahead.
Friendship on a Friday night
My college friend and I invited a couple college friends over last weekend to catch-up and created fun, easy and beautiful posters often called, “vision boards” or “Dream Boards.”
A vision board or dream board is a powerful visualization tool that you can use as inspiration every day and in your personal journey toward your ideal life.
They are often created by collecting together your handpicked cut-outs (words, images, etc.) from your favorite magazines, thus making your vision of your dreams and ideal life something for you to treasure and use as motivation to keep working towards your goals in your daily life.
This fun get together was also a really great way to reconnect with friends in a positive environment to learn more about each other’s dreams and aspirations.
Plan and Reflect on your Goals and Dreams to Achieve Them
It also gave us an opportunity to slow down from our busy schedules and take some time to reflect and think about what we really want for ourselves in the future.
Before you Begin to build your dreams on paper it is good to sit down and ask yourself a couple key questions to help you create a board that screams “MY VISION AND DREAMS,” however little or big they may be.
Vision/Dream board “Things to Think About” Questions:
1.) What does your dream life look like? Who is in it? What does it taste like?
2.)What do you want to accomplish this year? Where is your dream house? What is your dream car?
3.)What makes you happy? What is your passion? If you had all the free time in the world where would you be and what would you be doing?
4.) Where do you see yourself in 5, 10, 25 years?! Who is with you? What life do you want to live? What legacy do you want to lead?
Have a great time creating your vision board and chasing your dreams in 2015 and beyond!
Hold Fast to your Dreams,
