GOAL ACCOMPLISHED! 4:00:12 Marathon.
I am ONLY GETTING FASTER, STRONGER, BETTER!
I want to thank everyone that came out yesterday, it meant the world to me to see you on the sidelines cheering! I have the most amazing friends in the world!
I KNOW IT WAS SUPER COLD AND I APPRECIATE YOUR WILLINGNESS TO BEAR IT FOR ME AND MY CRAZY RUNNER MIND!
I have DREAMED of a 4 hour marathon this entire year and I actually can say I LIVED and RAN it yesterday.
Thanks to the guy at Mile 7 who said, “Hey girl, you’re looking good, and your super pretty,” because well, that is ALL I REALLY care about during these races haha
THANK YOU to the guy that was in front of me through most of the race with the shirt that read DREAM BIG on the back. You have no idea how much that mentally helped me pull through and conquer the last 10K.
Thanks for the NIKE sign, EVERY DAMN MILE. I had to scream it out loud down the tunnel mile 8.
Thank you to the guy that said that I better speed up if you wanna make the 4 hour mark at mile 24. I told him I didn’t plan on hitting four hours hahaha crazy!
Thanks to the people that pushed me along the way to not lose my form and stride like a pro.
Thanks for the “Smile if you peed yourself” sign at mile 17, I seriously had to go, but that kept me going!
Thanks to the bathrooms at mile 18.
Thanks to all the high fivers along the way, I must of high-fived people/cute kids at least 15 timez!
Thanks to Chris for putting up with my sarcasm or “meanness” as he calls it during the race. I am glad the other runners thought it was funny, I mean that is what marathons are all about, FUN!
Thanks to my friends that met me after I finished at the Capital, I was practically in tears and ready to go home to check my time!
I am one baby step closer to Boston. I am motivated to chase after the dream that I have set and I know I can do anything I set my mind to. #dreamBIG
